This Abyss of Nowness

Thought exists in time as the memory past, or as future ideas, plans, hopes, expectations, etc. Therefore, thinking is a time-obsessed mental illness when viewed from the clarity of Nowness. It is pretence posing as Presence.
~
Our beliefs trap us in the tick-tock of twoness. The ego's dualistic mindset always thinks in terms of right/wrong, good/evil, male/female, life/death, etc. To go beyond the ego to the true Self implies transcending time and thought.
~
But to the time-trapped ego the present is not a gift, but an abyss of Nowness. Thoughtless awareness devours up egoic pretence into its formless Presence. The great flood lies just beneath us as the primordial Ocean of Consciousness. The ego tries to tread water by constantly thinking; not allowing any gaps in thought to open too wide. But Christ floats throughout the primeval Abyss, walks on water, parts the Sea.
~
The Presence in the Abyss is Buddha-Nature in Nirvana; Christ in the desert; Prajna in Sunyata; the Alien in Space. The sun-like Son shines in the voidness of emptiness. The abyss of Nowness contains omniPresence, the archetypal Giant or Grand-Being, who pervades all SpAce.
